St. Louis Blues President and CEO Chris Zimmerman and his wife, Emily Burch, will serve as chairpersons for the 2020 Salvation Army Tree of Lights campaign.
The Salvation Army works to provide toys, food, household essentials and home and shelter to those in need. The campaign takes on more significance this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
Blues fans can make a donation to the Salvation Army's Virtual Red Kettle online this year by visiting stlouisblues.com/kettle.

Zimmerman and Burch have spent more than 25 years working throughout North America to help create opportunity through the power of sports. Recognizing that sport can play a unique role to help empower individuals and unite people, the couple has teamed with organizations of both national and local profile to make an impact in their community, and that is particularly true here in St. Louis.
While president of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and now in his seventh season with the Blues, Zimmerman has worked tirelessly to forge partnerships through each team's community foundation. As an example, the Blues for Kids Foundation has provided more than $4 million to St. Louis regional providers in just the last three years, supporting more than 100 individual organizations annually.
"The opportunity ahead with the Salvation Army is consistent with my personal and professional obligation to good in our community," Zimmerman said. "I've been struck by the generosity of St. Louisans and their willingness to step up for causes that will improve the lives of their neighbors and fellow citizens. Emily and I are privileged to serve."
Here in St. Louis, Emily has committed her time and efforts as co-chair of the Foundation For Fighting Blindness' annual gala, has served on the United Way and Magic House Board of Directors and Advisory Board for the St. Louis Symphony, and has worked on local initiatives to benefit the Urban League, Blues for Kids and the 50th anniversary of the St. Louis Blues in the NHL.
"Chris and I love St. Louis and have always admired the work of the Salvation Army so this is a calling that we are both honored to answer," Burch said. "The holidays will be here soon, and I know we can help bring comfort and joy to all, no matter the challenges we've encountered in 2020. We're ready to get started."
