EDMONTON - Vladimir Tarasenko and Alexander Steen were missing from the lineup Sunday when the St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks met for Game 3.

After the game, Blues Head Coach Craig Berube labeled Tarasenko and Steen as unfit to play. Both are considered day-to-day and their status for Game 4 is unknown.

Prior to the NHL's Return to Play, Tarasenko hadn't played a game in 10 months due to shoulder surgery in October. He was nearing his return in March when the NHL paused for the COVID-19 pandemic. It's unknown whether his absence now is related to that injury. Tarasenko also did not play in the round-robin game on Aug. 6 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Steen was not available for Game 1 vs. Vancouver on Aug. 12 but he did play in Game 2, taking 17 shifts and recording eight minutes, 59 seconds of ice time.
