ST. LOUIS - Alexander Steen and his father, Thomas, have joined some pretty elite company.

With his second assist in Thursday's 5-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings, Alexander Steen recorded his 600th career point, joining his dad in becoming only the fourth father/son duo to each record at least 600 NHL points.
Thomas Steen recorded 817 points (264 goals, 553 assists) in a 14-year career with the Winnipeg Jets, while Alexander now has 601 points (235 goals and 366 assists) in a 14-year career with the Blues and Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Steens join Gordie (1,850) and Mark Howe (742), Bobby (1,170) and Brett Hull (1,391), and Peter (1,239) and Paul Stastny (676) as the only other father / sons in NHL history to accomplish the feat.

"It's something to look back on later," Alexander said after Thursday's game. "Obviously, cool names to be in there with, and especially to be in there with the Stastnys is extra special. It's nice."
Earlier this season, Alexander and Thomas Steen became just the third father/son duo to each play in 900 or more games.
