With Brandon Saad sustaining an upper-body injury Tuesday night, Blues Head Coach Craig Berube will have to shuffle his lineup for Thursday's 8 p.m. duel with the New Jersey Devils (ESPN, 101 ESPN).
Coming off a three-point game, Ivan Barbashev has earned a promotion to the first line, taking Saad's place. Barbashev's physicality is an asset that Berube wants to utilize against a fast, young New Jersey team.

"[He's] going to forecheck hard, be physical and good around the net," Berube said.
Jake Neighbours is expected to enter the lineup on the third line with Noel Acciari and recent acquisition Sammy Blais. The rookie has played 27 games so far this season, accumulating a total of four goals and four assists.
"Obviously, I've played with Cookie (Acciari) a lot this year, and I know Sammy from his last stint here," Neighbours said. "Hopefully we get out there and be hard to play against."
Looking at defensive pairings, Torey Krug "should be good" to play tonight, per Berube, despite being previously listed with a lower-body injury.
Here is the projected lineup based on Thursday's morning skate at Centene Community Ice Center:
