BLUES VS. COYOTES

TEAM SNAPSHOTS

BLUES Pat Maroon and Brayden Schenn scored to help the Blues earn a point on Saturday afternoon in San Jose. Jake Allen made 30 saves for the Blues in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Sharks.
The Blues returned home Saturday with five of a possible six points on a road trip to California, which included wins against the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings.
"L.A. and Anaheim aren't where they want to be in the standings but they're still tough teams to play against," Schenn said of the road trip. "And then it's never easy to come into this building (in San Jose). So five out of six points, we'll take it. Anything can happen in overtime, we played hard today, we battled hard to get one point."
The Blues played Saturday's game without Vladimir Tarasenko, who is dealing with an upper-body injury. Tarasenko is expected to miss at least 10 days with the injury. On Monday, Robert Thomas was skating on the team's first line with Ryan O'Reilly and Schenn and could play there Tuesday against the Coyotes.
Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said Jordan Binnington would start in goal against the Coyotes.
COYOTES Richard Panik scored early against his former team, but that's the only offense the Arizona Coyotes would manage Monday against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.
Chicago won the game 7-1, keeping the Coyotes outside of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Before Monday's game, the Coyotes were 6-2-2 in their last 10 games and just one point out of a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
HEAD-TO-HEAD Tuesday's game will be the third and final meeting between the Blues and Coyotes in the regular season. The Blues are 1-1-0 against Arizona this season and won the last matchup 4-0 on Feb. 14 at Gila River Arena.
In the last 24 games against the Coyotes, the Blues are 19-4-1.
The Blues lost their last home game against Arizona, but before that had won six straight at home and earned points in the previous nine.
