Guten tag, Blues fans!
St. Louis will have a special visitor during the Thanksgiving weekend as Erwin, the mascot for Schalke 04 of the German Bundesliga soccer league, will be accompanying Louie during the games on Nov. 24 vs. Nashville and Nov. 25 against Minnesota.

Erwin was scheduled to come to St. Louis to join Schalke fans at Amsterdam Tavern on Nov. 25 to watch the team in their match against rival Borussia Dortmund. Upon hearing of Erwin's visit, the Blues invited the Schalke mascot to join Louie for the Thanksgiving Weekend of Hockey games.

Louie plans on showing Erwin the sites while in town, along with taking him out on the ice at Scottrade Center. Follow Louie on Twitter and Instagram at @LouieSTLBlues to keep up with their adventures during this weekend.
Schalke 04 plays in Germany's premier soccer league and has over 100 years of rich history in Europe. Erwin and Schalke 04 have traveled to St. Louis a few times over the past couple of years for soccer watch parties, deeming St. Louis fans' intensity similar to Schalke supporters, while appreciating the city's rich history with American soccer.

The Schalke-Dortmund match will take place on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m. The watch party at Amsterdam Tavern will include German-style sausage and a free round when Schalke scores their first goal. In addition, the location will be giving away Schalke 04 scarves to those fans in attendance.
