The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled forward Alexandre Fortin (for-TAYN) from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Fortin, 21, appeared in two preseason games with the Blackhawks this year, notching a goal in his first game on Sept. 18 at CBJ.
The Blainville, Quebec, native has appeared in two games for the IceHogs this season. In 53 games with Rockford last year as a rookie, Fortin tallied 21 points (4G, 17A). He scored his first professional goal on Nov. 15 vs. Iowa and recorded three multi-point games during the 2017-18 season. He also appeared in one postseason game.
Fortin signed as a free agent with the Blackhawks on Sept. 25, 2016.
The Blackhawks continue the 2018-19 regular-season schedule Thursday, Oct. 11 in Minnesota against the Wild at 7 p.m. That game can be seen on WGN-TV and heard on WGN Radio.
