2nd - 4:08 - Anthony Beaulivier

Following a first period dominated by the Blackhawks, it was the visitors striking first on the night as Anthony Beaulivier opening the scoring. Off a broken play in the defensive zone, a trio of Blackhawks got caught trying to win a puck back in numbers behind their own goal, with the puck bouncing right to Beaulivier in the process alone at the side of the cage. The winger quickly stepped into the slot and tucked a quick shot passed Marc-Andre Fleury for the 1-0 lead.

Early in the third, the Islanders doubled their lead on a defensive zone turnover by the Blackhawks. Oliver Wahlstrom picked off a pass from Henrik Borgstrom on a breakout and quickly turned the play the other way. Jake McCabe made a diving effort to break up the abbreviated rush as the lone man back, but Wahlstrom sidestepped the blueliner and put a wrister past Marc-Andre Fleury for a 2-0 score.
