EAST HEAVY

In an early-season schedule oddity, Chicago meets an Eastern Conference team for the seventh time in nine games on Monday night as the Senators visit the United Center. With game a meeting against Carolina on Wednesday, the Blackhawks will already be 25% of the way through their Eastern Conference schedule (32 games) just 11 games into the year.

SPECIAL TEAMS

The Blackhawks went 2-for-3 on the penalty kill on Saturday night against St. Louis. Chicago currently ranks sixth in the NHL in penalty kill percentage, killing off 27 of 31 (87.1 percent) opponent power plays this season.
In the game, Chicago went scoreless on the power play for only the second time this season (9-for-36; 25.0 percent). Their nine power-play goals this season are tied for second most in the NHL. Alex DeBrincat's three power-play markers share third in the league.

JONES-ING FOR MORE

In Saturday's shutout loss, Seth Jones saw his four-game point/assist streak (5A) come to a close. Spanning from Oct. 21-29, the run of helpers fell one shy of the longest assist streak of his career is five games, set from Feb. 4-13, 2021 last season with Columbus (6A).
Jones has logged four games this season with over 27 minutes of ice time and is currently ninth in the NHL averaging 25:54 of ice time. He averaged a career-best 25:49 during the 2018-19 season with the Blue Jackets. Duncan Keith paced the club in average TOI in each of the past 16 seasons.
