The Blackhawks are in Winnipeg for a Tuesday night showdown against the Jets. Chicago is looking to snap their seven-game losing streak, while the Jets look to continue their strong start to the month of December, in which they are 4-1-0.

The Jets scoring attack is led by a few dynamic contributors. Blake Wheeler paces the team with 37 points (5G, 32A) in 29 games. Mark Scheifele is second on the team with 25 (16G, 19A). Patrik Laine has a whopping 21 goals this season.
The team has one of the top power-play attacks in the league at 28.7% this season.
SEASON SERIES:
The Blackhawks and Jets have faced each other once already this season, the result of which was a 6-5 loss in Winnipeg on Nov. 29. In that game, the Jets and Blackhawks traded goals in the first period, but Winnipeg opened things up and had a 6-3 lead midway through the third. Chicago scored two goals in the final seven minutes but couldn't net the equalizer.
They'll face each other twice more, in Chicago on Dec. 14 and April 1.
LINEUP NOTES:
Cam Ward was first off the ice at morning skate in Winnipeg, which means he gets the start for the Blackhawks.
Artem Anisimov (concussion protocol) did not make the trip and will not play.
OPPONENT TO WATCH:
All Wheeler does is put up points for the Jets. In his last five games, he has five (1G, 4A).
Wheeler was the fifth-overall selection in the 2004 NHL Draft by Phoenix. With his deadly combination of size and speed, the Jets leading scorer has compiled 642 points (227G, 415A) in 807 career NHL games.
He is off to another fast start to 2018-19, with 37 points in 29 games.
