On select Mondays throughout the 2018-19 season, chicagoblackhawks.com will have answers to some fan-submitted questions. This week, former Blackhawks forward, 2010 Stanley Cup champion and Blackhawks TV contributor Adam Burish discusses Dylan Sikura's potential and his holiday traditions.
1. Do you think Dylan Sikura should have a permanent spot in the Blackhawks lineup? - Anna from Chicago

Anna,
As always, you get what you earn in the NHL. Sikura has world class speed and quickness, which should give him the opportunity to find himself in the Blackhawks lineup every night. For young players entering the league, confidence is such an important piece. If Dylan uses his strengths and has great self-belief he can be a great asset to this Blackhawks team. Did you see him fly up the center of the ice on the Blackhawks third goal versus the Sharks on Sunday night? Wow!

2. Hey Adam! What do you think of the fourth line of Hayden, Kruger and Martinsen? It seems like they've played well and even have a couple of goals when together. - John from Michigan
John,
I think they have been awesome and have deserved the extra time Coach Colliton has given them. I think the purpose and direct approach they have played with has trickled down to the rest of the team. They scored two huge goals vs the Penguins that weren't flashy, just straight ahead, heavy forcheck, and shooting the puck. That type of play has even gotten Hayden onto the power play in front of the net.

PIT@CHI: Martinsen scores on a fortuitous deflection

3. What are your favourite holiday traditions? What do you like to do this time of year? - Jenna from Ontario
Good question, Jenna!
The last three years since I've been done playing I have gone out and visited my parents in San Diego for Christmas. Every Christmas in the morning, my mom, dad, sister and I go out and surf, and at night we go to an outdoor rink on the beach and go for a skate.
My mom likes to skate nice and easy, my sister tries to push me over, and my dad can't wait to be done and go have an adult egg nog! Surfing and skating... that's my kind of Christmas! I'm guessing there isn't much surfing in Ontario this time of year?
