Game notes: March 4 at Nashville Predators

LAST GAME
The Blackhawks extended their win streak to six games by defeating the Islanders 2-1 in a shootout on Friday night at the United Center. They have won 11 of their last 12 games. Chicago improved to 3-1 in shootouts this season and 8-4-2 against the Metropolitan Division. Artemi Panarin recorded the game-tying goal in the third period, and Jonathan Toews netted the game-deciding goal in the shootout. Corey Crawford stopped 31 shots for his third consecutive victory. He is now 25-13-3 this season and has earned victories in seven of his last eight appearances.

VS. PREDATORS
Chicago holds a 54-38-4-8 all-time record against Nashville, including a 22-20-3-6 mark on the road. Tonight's matchup concludes the five-game regular-season series between the clubs. The Blackhawks own a 3-1-0 record vs. the Predators this season, including victories in their last three games. Patrick Kane became the sixth player in Blackhawks history to notch 700 career points (262G, 438A) after registering a goal and an assist against Nashville on Dec. 30. He paces the club with seven points (1G, 6A) vs. the Predators this year. Joel Quenneville coached in his 1,500th career NHL game on Jan. 8 vs. NSH.

MILESTONE MAN
Toews became the 21st player in franchise history to skate 700 games in a Blackhawks sweater on Friday vs. the Islanders. He recorded the game-deciding goal in the shootout. He was named the NHL's First Star for February after leading the NHL with 18 points (7G, 11A) over 10 games last month.

GONE STREAKING
The Blackhawks won their sixth consecutive game on Friday against the Islanders, marking the fourth time this season that they have strung together five or more wins. The club's longest streak of the season is seven games (Oct. 28-Nov. 9). Chicago is averaging 4.2 goals per game during the stretch.

ONE-TIMERS
Panarin tallied his 20th goal of the season, extending his point streak (1G, 3A) to four games. It was his 50th career NHL marker. He also recorded one of Chicago's two goals in the shootout. His 57 points (20G, 37A) rank 14th in the NHL ... Duncan Keith stretched his point streak (3A) to three games with a helper on Panarin's goal. He ranks fourth among league blueliners with 39 assists this year ... Brent Seabrook collected an assist. He has three helpers over his last four games.

THREE OPPONENTS TO WATCH

C Filip Forsberg: Acquired by Nashville from Washington in April 2013, Forsberg leads the Predators in goals and shares the team lead in points. He was named the NHL's First Star for the week ending Feb. 26 after leading all skaters in goals and points (8G).

C Ryan Johansen: Johansen leads Nashville in assists and shares the club lead in points. He shares the team lead with five points (5A) against Chicago this season. He has picked up nine points (1G, 8A) over his last five games. Nashville is 9-0-0 when he scores a goal this season.

D P.K. Subban: A second-round pick in the 2007 NHL Draft, Subban has 13 points (1G, 12A) and five multi-point performances over his last 11 games. He ranks second among league blueliners with 13 points (1G, 12A) since Feb. 9. He recorded the 299th and 300th points of his career on Feb. 12 vs. Dallas.
