The Blackhawks defeated the Avalanche 6-3 on Sunday night after recording five unanswered goals in the third period, picking up their fifth consecutive win. It was Chicago's highest offensive output in a single period this season, topping the four goals they recorded in the third period on Nov. 1 vs. Calgary. Toews notched two goals against Colorado on Sunday, extending his point streak (3G, 2A) to four games. It was his second multi-goal and 13th multi-point effort of the 2016-17 campaign. Per Elias, Toews became the sixth player in Blackhawks history to reach the 20-goal mark in 10 or more seasons, joining Stan Mikita (14), Bobby Hull (13), Steve Larmer (11), Denis Savard (10) and Patrick Kane (10). He also joined Savard (1980-81 to 1989-90) and Kane (2007-08 to 2016-17) as the only players in franchise history to score 20 or more goals in each of their first 10 NHL seasons.

LW Daniel Sedin:Sedin shares the team lead in power-play goals (5) and shots on goal (187) and ranks third in points (38) and assists (25). He leads Vancouver with 54 points (22G, 32A) in 56 career matchups with Chicago. He appeared in his 1,000th NHL game (Nov. 23, 2014) and collected his 900th career point (Nov. 21, 2015) vs. the Blackhawks.
LW Sven Baertschi: Baertschi has set career highs in points (32), assists (15), goals (17) and game-winning goals (5) through 58 tilts this season. He currently leads the team with 1.14 goals per 60 minutes. The Switzerland native has recorded five points (4G, 1A) over his last eight games.
C Bo Horvat: The ninth-overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft leads Vancouver and has set career highs in goals (20) and points (47) this year. He is the eighth Canuck to reach the 20-goal mark before the age of 22 and the first to do so since Daniel Sedin during the 2000-01 campaign.
