Blackhawks defensive prospects Nicolas Beaudin and Ian Mitchell, as well as forward Mackenzie Entwistle, are among the 34 players Hockey Canada has invited to its selection camp roster in preparation for the 2019 World Junior Championship in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C.

Beaudin, 19, was taken 27th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. The defenseman has 20 points (3G, 17A) through 18 games with Drummondville of the QMJHL.

Ian Mitchell was selected 57th overall in the second round of the 2017 draft. He is currently playing for the University of Denver. The blueliner has two goals and nine assists through 12 games.

Entwistle has 13 goals and 11 assists in 26 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League. The forward was originally a third-round selection of Arizona in 2017, but was acquired by the Blackhawks via trade.

The 2019 World Junior Championships will begin on Dec. 26, and end on Jan. 5, 2019.

The Czech Republic also announced its preliminary roster and Blackhawks prospect Jakub Galvas is on it. He was selected in the fifth round, 150th overall, of the 2017 draft. The d-man has two goals and seven assists in 24 games for HC Olomouc of the Czech league.
