Alex DeBrincat and Jonathan Toews will look over tonight against Detroit and see Dominik Kahun as their other linemate.
For the young German forward, it's a chance to show he deserves a roster spot. For the other two, it's an opportunity to play with someone who has the ability to spark offensive production.
"I think he's good enough to play in this league and he's a really skilled guy," said DeBrincat.
There's one specific part of Kahun's game that DeBrincat has taken notice of so far in preseason play.
"His speed," DeBrincat said. "He's a really fast player and can make plays at that top speed too. That's something not many guys can do. A lot of guys have that speed but struggle with the puck skills. He's a guy that has both and he's going to be really good."
