Minnesota Wild Foundation
today presented donations to
Minnesota Hockey
and the
St. Cloud Youth Hockey Association
in the amounts of $52,500 and $10,000, respectively.

The Minnesota Wild Foundation exists to support the game of hockey and improve the lives of families in the State of Hockey. With its annual contribution, the Minnesota Wild Foundation serves as the largest non-member funding source for Minnesota Hockey, the leading amateur hockey association in the United States that seeks to provide everyone the opportunity to experience the excitement and fun of playing hockey.
"The Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota Wild Foundation continue to showcase unrivaled generosity and support for youth and amateur hockey," said Minnesota Hockey President Dave Margenau. "We're thrilled to be a part of Hockey Day Minnesota to not only celebrate and help grow the game of hockey, but to also recognize the players, coaches and volunteers across the State of Hockey."
The St. Cloud Area Youth Hockey Association is host of this year's 12th annual Hockey Day Minnesota 2018 presented by Wells Fargo. Its mission is to provide all of its members with a positive growing environment, which enhances a competitive spirit defining sportsmanship and respect for others through the sport of hockey.
"St. Cloud Youth Hockey is greatly appreciative for the opportunity to host Hockey Day Minnesota 2018 and showcase our city and its hockey programs to the State of Hockey and beyond," said St. Cloud Youth Hockey Association President Mike Petroske. "We're incredibly grateful to the Minnesota Wild Foundation for this generous donation to our program, one that will make a major impact to help us grow youth hockey in St. Cloud. This has been an unbelievable experience for all involved and we remain thankful for the partnership between the Wild and our community."
Since its inception in 2000, the Minnesota Wild has invested more than $14 million dollars back into the community through donations and service.
