About the Stars
The Stars (10-10-6) concluded a four-game road trip with a 3-0 win at Colorado Saturday. Kari Lehtonen stopped 23 shots for his first shutout of the season and Curtis McKenzie, Tyler Seguin, and Patrick Eaves scored goals for the Stars, who had lost the first three games on the trip.
"From start to finish, I thought we played the game the right way," said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. "We got the lead and continued to play the game the right way, which was really important. We didn't give up any big plays, and we got a big power play goal. I liked all three periods, and we were finally rewarded. It was good to see us play that well away from the puck."
The win snapped a five-game losing streak on the road for the Stars. Tuesday's game opens a two-game homestand for the Stars, who play ten of their next 13 games at American Airlines Center.
"We have a lot of home games coming up, so we have to take advantage of that," Seguin said. "You want to play hard at home. We've had a decent record there, so we want to keep going."
The Stars are expected to recall a forward from the AHL on Tuesday.
Injuries: RW Patrick Sharp (concussion-like symptoms), D Johnny Oduya (lower body), RW Jiri Hudler (illness), C/LW Mattias Janmark (knee) and RW Ales Hemsky (hip) are on injured reserve.
