The San Jose Sharks will begin the 2016-17 preseason campaign on Tuesday night by hosting the Vancouver Canucks at SAP Center at 7:30 p.m. The rosters will feature some regular faces, but expect to see many young prospects mixed in as training camp evaluation continues and the World Cup still has the services of Joe Thornton, Logan Couture, Brent Burns, Marc-Edouard Vlasic and newcomer Mikkel Boedker.
Sharks captain Joe Pavelski and forward Joonas Donskoi are back from World Cup play, but will not participate in Tuesday's game.
Troy Grosenick will get the start in net for the Sharks but fellow netminder Mantas Armalis could see some time as well.
