New-Couture-Book-Club-Article

San Jose Sharks captain Logan Couture loves to read and he is sharing his favorite hobby with the rest of Sharks Territory. Take a look at some of the titles he suggests you add to your summer reading list asap:

Hey, Sharks fans! It's Logan Couture checking in with all of you a part of my book club after a long break.

I really hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Now that I'm back home in Canada, I have been spending a lot of time reading and wanted to share some of the books on my summer list.

I hope you guys can pick one (or all) of these books and enjoy them as I did!

1. Deal Breaker by Harlan Cohen

Subject: Murder mystery

Logan's take:It's the first book of the Myron Bolitar series that revolves around a sports agent as the main character. An easy read, but very enjoyable. On a side note, our former Sharks public relations guy, Tom Holy, has been on me to start this series. As always he was correct, I enjoyed it!

2. The Long and Faraway Gone by Lou Berney

Subject:Murder mystery

Logan's take:Stand-alone novel by an incredible author. A few dull moments in the story, but overall a solid read with lots of twists and turns.

3. Tourist Season by Carl Hiaasen

Subject:Crime, suspense, mystery

Logan's take:I haven't included a Hiaasen novel in my book club, which is a mistake. Hiaasen is a special author, he has a way of mixing dark humor with stark terror. Razor Girl by Hiaasen is a personal favorite.

4. The Lock Artist by Steve Hamilton

Subject:Mystery, intrigue, love

Logan's take:This is it, my best read of the year. I know I may be late to the party as it's an older novel (2009), but wow! I just couldn't put it down!
