The San Jose Sharks pay a visit to the Arizona Coyotes tonight at 7 p.m.
Team Teal is coming off a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins last night at SAP Center. The victory marked the club's seventh-straight win and still remain undefeated in 2019. Tomas Hertl recorded his second career hat trick in the win, last occurring 10/3/18 vs NYR in a four-goal effort. His third goal in the contest also stood as his 100th career NHL goal. Joe Thornton scored his tenth goal of the season in his 1,000th game with the San Jose Sharks. He becomes the second player in franchise history to achieve 1,000 games with San Jose alongside Patrick Marleau.
Tonight marks the Sharks and Coyotes third matchup of the season and the second game played in Arizona. Last meeting between the two clubs, Tomas Hertl led the Sharks in goals with two scored in the third frame in the 4-3 shootout loss.
Sharks forward Marcus Sorensen is expected to play in his 100th NHL game.
