The San Jose Sharks are back on the road for a four-game road trip. The Sharks will make their way through the Midwest facing the Central Division. First up on the roadie, the St. Louis Blues.
This is the Sharks first meeting against the St Louis Blues this season. Last season Team Teal went 0-3 against the Blues.
The Sharks are coming off a 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Sunday. Coming out hot, the Sharks scored four goals in the first period. Joe Pavelski received first star, scoring the first goal of the game just 27 seconds into play and also recorded two assists. Mikkel Boedker is heating up. He scored two goals last game against Dallas and has recorded five points in the last three games.
In recent transactions, the Sharks recalled defenseman Paul Martin and forward Rudolfs Balcers from the San Jose Barracuda. With Brent Burns leaving the bench in the third period last game, Paul Martin could make a reappearance with the Sharks against the Blues tonight. In addition, Tomas Hertl and Joel Ward were placed on Injured Reserve.
The St. Louis Blues last played on Friday, dropping 2-1 against the Dallas Stars. The Blues are 2-2-1 in their last five games recording their last win on Feb. 9.
