The Sharks are onto the second half of a back-to-back on the road tonight against the St. Louis Blues. This is the first meeting between the two teams this season.
The last matchup between the Sharks and Blues was on March 28 ending in a 3-2 overtime loss for Team Teal. Last season, the Sharks went 2-0-1 against the Blues.
Last night the Sharks erased a two-goal deficit in the third but ultimately fell short 4-3 against Dallas. Joe Thornton appeared in his 1,500th NHL game to become the 19th skater in NHL history to reach the mark and became the first player selected first overall in the NHL Draft to reach 1,500 games.
Timo Meier recorded his team-leading and league-leading 12th goal of the season. Brent Burns registered his 400th NHL assist on Pavelski's goal and earned his second straight multi-assist game (0g, 2a). Evander Kane scored his fifth goal of the season which was his first goal since facing the Flyers in Philadelphia on October 9th.
