marleau-four-goals-milestone

How would you describe Monday night's game against the Colorado Avalanche? Marleauvous, of course.
On January 23, the San Jose Sharks swept the season series against the Avs with a 5-2 win in Denver. The Sharks dominated the third period thanks to not one, not two, not three, but four goals from Patrick Marleau. These four goals marked the forward's first career four-goal game over his 19-year career in the NHL and with the Sharks. With his four goals, Marleau continues to close in on the gap of reaching 500 career goals.
Marleau also became the first Shark in history to score four goals in one period. Yes, you read that correctly ... ONE period.

Marleau joins Tomas Hertl (who can forget that epic night!?), as well as alum Owen Nolan in reaching this milestone within the Sharks organization.

He is only the third player in the NHL to do what he did in the last 70 years - quite impressive!

Marleau's hat trick alone in the third period was impressive, and Randy Hahn's call added to the excitement ... A NATTY HATTY FOR PATTY!

Just when you thought Marleau was done for the night after scoring his hat trick ...
