Play "Machinehead."
The Buffalo Sabres revealed their new black and red third jerseys today. The new threads are modeled off the "goathead" uniforms the team wore from 1996 until 2006.
They're on sale now at The Sabres Store.

Last week's big story

The team went 2-2-0 last week, winning both of their home games to close out a four-game homestand, but falling in back-to-back road games against Carolina and Tampa Bay.
Already missing Mattias Samuelsson and Henri Jokiharju due to injury, the defense took another hit when Rasmus Dahlin was ruled out of Saturday's game with an upper-body injury.
Ilya Lyubushkin, however, returned after a four-game absence, and Owen Power, who leads NHL rookies in ice time, skated a career-high 28:14 against the Lighting.
"He's one hell of a player, one hell of a talented kid," Sabres coach Don Granato said. "And he handled it. He handled it. ... The environment did not affect him one bit and I can't say that for every guy on the team. It's just amazing, his performance tonight and focus."

Sabres Moms Trivia!

The moms were also on the trip. Looks like they had a blast, despite the results of the games.
