20251201 Tuch

A visit to Lasertron, special guests hosted by Alex Tuch and an annual Thanksgiving turkey drive were among the Buffalo Sabres’ community initiatives during November.

Here’s a recap of how the Sabres got involved in Western New York this past month.

Courage of Carly’s Lasertron Night

The Sabres hosted families from the Courage of Carly Fund for their annual Lasertron Night on Monday, Nov. 3, giving kids undergoing cancer treatment a chance to relax, play and connect away from the hospital. Bowen Byram, Colten Ellis and Mason Geertsen spent the evening playing arcade games and laser tag with the kids, helping create a fun, uplifting break for families supported through Courage of Carly.

Best Buddies Bowling

On Monday, Nov. 3, Sabres forwards Josh Doan and Jack Quinn joined participants from Best Buddies Western New York for a bowling event at Transit Lanes in Williamsville. The visit brought together individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting Best Buddies’ mission. Doan and Quinn spent time on the lanes with program participants, helping celebrate the organization’s work in Western New York communities.

Turkeys for Tickets

The Sabres partnered with Tops Friendly Markets and Audacy on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for the annual Turkeys for Tickets drive, benefiting FeedMore WNY and the Buffalo City Mission. Fans donated 1,725 turkeys across all drop-off locations to support holiday meals for families in need throughout Western New York. Sabres alumni Martin Biron and Patrick Kaleta joined volunteers in greeting donors and distributing ticket vouchers.

AT9 Foundation Suite Nights

In November, the foundation welcomed the Courage of Carly Fund on Nov. 1 vs. Washington, SABAH on Nov. 19 vs. Calgary and the PUNT Foundation on Nov. 23 vs. Carolina.
