The New York Rangers return to The Garden to face the Vancouver Canucks for the first time this season (6:00 PM ET - TV: MSG Network - Radio: ESPN 880 AM). They will play three of their next five games at home.

New York will wear their thirds jersey for the first time this season on Sunday evening.

The Blueshirts have won all three games at The Garden, tied for the longest-active winning streak at home in the league.

The Rangers have yet to allow a first period goal in each of their first six games, their longest such streak since 1939.

New York is tied for second in the NHL with four wins, ranks third with 170 hits and 1.83 goals against per game, ranks fourth with 95 blocked shots, and is tied for fourth with eight points and 27 takeaways.

RANGERS AND CANUCKS CONNECTIONS

Rangers forward J.T. Miller played parts of six seasons for Vancouver (2019-20 - 2024-25), recording 437 points (152G-285A) in 404 games.

Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan was an assistant coach for one season with the Canucks in 2013-14.

Canucks assistant coach Jason Krog appeared in nine games for the Rangers during the 2006-07 season, scoring two goals for the team.

Canucks defenseman Victor Mancini was drafted by the Rangers in 2022 and played 15 games for team in 2024-25.

FANTASTIC MR. FOX

Adam Fox has notched five points (5A) through his first six games of the season. Among all NHL defensemen, he is tied for third in assists and is tied for sixth in points. He leads the Rangers in assists and is tied for second in points.

On Oct. 1, he notched his 76th career multi-assist game as a Ranger, surpassing James Patrick and tying Ron Greschner for the second-most multi-assist games by a defenseman in franchise history. He also tied Greschner and Mika Zibanejad for the eighth-most multi-assist games among all skaters in franchise history.

Among all NHL defensemen since 2019-20, his 76 multi-assist games rank third. In that same span, his 108 multi-point games also rank third among all NHL blueliners.

LAFF LIGHTS UP

Alexis Lafrenière has scored at least one goal in back-to-back games and holds a three-game point streak (4G-2A). This season, he leads the Rangers in goals, points and plus-minus (+4). Among all NHL skaters, he is tied for ninth in goals. He notched his third career hat trick on Oct. 6 and is one of five players this season to have recorded one thus far.

On Oct. 6, he notched his second career four-point game and his 56th career multi-point game. Since the 2022-23 season, his 49 multi-point games rank fifth among all Rangers skaters.

MIKA MAGIC

Mika Zibanejad has recorded five points (1G-4A) through his first six games of the season. He ranks second on the team in assists and is tied for second in points.

On Oct. 4, he tallied his 134th career assist on a go-ahead goal, surpassing Mark Messier for the sixth-most in franchise history. He sits six points away from tying Walt Tkaczuk for the sixth-most points among all Rangers in franchise history (678).

Zibanejad scored the Rangers’ first power play goal of the season on Oct. 1 and the 137th of his career. Since the 2017-18 season, he ranks fourth among all NHL skaters with 121 power play goals. In that same span, his 238 power play points rank ninth in the league.

MILLER TIME

J.T. Miller has recorded a point in three-straight games (1G-2A) and scored his first goal of the season on Oct. 4.

Since the 2021-22 season, he is the only NHL player with 400+ points and 700+ hits. In that same time frame, his 269 assists rank 13th in the NHL.

Last season, he notched a career-high 61.5 faceoff win percentage and ranked third in the NHL among all skaters with at least 500 faceoffs taken. Since the 2024-25 season, his 59.2 faceoff win percentage ranks fourth among all skaters with at least 1,000 faceoffs taken.
