Kevin Shattenkirk

The New York Rangers announced today that the team has bought out the contract of defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.
"Today's decision was a very difficult one," Rangers President John Davidson said. "Kevin is a great person and teammate and he was extremely proud to be a New York Ranger. We wish him and his family all the best going forward."

Shattenkirk skated in 119 games with the Rangers over two seasons (2017-18 and 2018-19), registering seven goals and 44 assists for 51 points, along with 64 penalty minutes. He has skated in 609 career NHL games over nine seasons (2010-11 - 2018-19) with Colorado, St. Louis, Washington, and the Rangers, registering 75 goals and 274 assists for 349 points, along with 368 penalty minutes.
