  • WORKING OVERTIME -Five of the Rangers' 13 games this season, including four of their last eight games and each of the last two games, have been decided in either overtime or a shootout. The Rangers have posted a 4-1 record in games decided in either overtime or a shootout this season. The Blueshirts won two consecutive team games which were both decided in a shootoutfor the first time since Dec. 17, 2016 at Nashville and Dec. 18, 2016 vs. New Jersey.
  • FIRST IN SCORE -New York tallied the first goal of the game for the second time in the last three games and for the sixth time this season.
  • FINISHING THE JOB -The Rangers entered the third period of tonight's game with a lead and won the contest. Since the start of the 2010-11 season, the Rangers have posted a 218-7-9 record in 234 regular season games in which they have held a lead entering the third period, and their .932 winning percentage when leading entering the third period over the span ranks first in the NHL. The Rangers posted a 22-0-1 record in games which they held a lead entering the third period in 2017-18 and led the NHL in winning percentage when leading entering the third period last season (.957).
  • DUCK HUNTING -The Rangers have won seven of their last nine games against the Ducks, dating back to Jan. 7, 2015 (7-2-0 record over the span). In addition, the Blueshirts have earned at least one point in 12 of their last 17 games against the Ducks, dating back to Dec. 16, 2008 (11-5-1 record over the span).

  • Alexandar Georgievmade 28 saves in regulation/overtime and stopped both shooters he faced in the shootout to earn his second win of the 2018-19 season. Georgiev has allowed two goals in each of his last two appearances.
  • Brett Howdenrecorded two points (one goal, one assist), notched a power play assist, tied for the game-high with five shots on goal, and won 10 of 17 faceoffs (58.8%). Howden posted a multi-point game for the first time in his NHL career. He has registered a point in seven of his first 13 career NHL games (three goals, five assists), and he has notched an assist/point in three of the last four games (one goal, three assists over the last four games). In addition, Howden has recorded a point in six of the Rangers' seven road games thus far this season (two goals, five assists on the road), and he leads the Blueshirts in assists and points (seven) on the road in 2018-19.
  • Kevin Hayestallied a power play goal, which was the first goal of the game, won eight of 10 faceoffs (80.0%), and recorded four shots on goal in 21:35 of ice time. Hayes has recorded a point in each of the last two games (one goal, one assist) and in three of the last five games (two goals, one assist). The Rangers have posted a 96-29-16 record in games which Hayes has tallied a point in his career, including a 48-17-8 record in games which he has registered a goal. Hayes has logged at least 20:00 of ice time in each of the last two games and at least 19:00 of ice time in each of the last three games.
