Oilers captain will begin rehabilitation protocol determined by the Edmonton Oilers medical staff and top orthopedic specialists.

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers medical staff, in collaboration with top orthopedic specialists, have determined a rehabilitation protocol for Connor McDavid which will begin immediately.

McDavid suffered the injury at the 3:42 mark in the second period during Edmonton's final regular season game against the Calgary Flames on April 6.

The Oilers captain finished second in NHL scoring with a career-high 116 points in 78 games this season - his third consecutive 100-point campaign. His 41 goals matched his total in 2017-18, while he also set new career-highs in assists (75), powerplay goals (9), powerplay points (33), game-winning goals (9) and shooting percentage (17.1%) this season.
