EDMONTON, AB - One of the biggest oversights by rookies coming into camp is trying to overperform.
During the first official meeting of the Oilers Rookies last week when camp opened formal proceedings, Bakersfield Condors Head Coach Jay Woodcroft tried to quash that possibility.
"Right from day one in our opening meeting we tried to impart on our young players that we want them to just play and not overthink things," Woodcroft said to the media on Monday.
"Bring what you bring to the table to truly show why you're here."
