Zachary Bolduc signed a four-year, $16.8 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday. It has an average annual value of $4.2 million.
The 23-year-old forward became a restricted free agent July 1 after he had 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) in 78 regular-season games for the Canadiens and seven points (three goals, four assists) in 19 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Selected by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (No. 17) of the 2021 NHL Draft, Bolduc has 75 points (36 goals, 39 assists) in 175 regular-season games with the Blues and Canadiens, and eight points (three goals, five assists) in 26 playoff games.
He was acquired by Montreal in a trade with St. Louis for Logan Mailloux on July 1, 2025.
The Canadiens signed forward Chris Kreider to a one-year contract on Saturday, two days after the forward’s contract was terminated by the Anaheim Ducks.
Montreal is set to begin training camp later this week after reaching the Eastern Conference Final last season, when it lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in five games. The Canadiens play their 2026-27 season opener at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sept. 29 (7 p.m. ET; TVAS, SN).
