Fantasy can't miss picks

Andreas Athanasiou, EDM: The forward was traded to the Edmonton Oilers by the Detroit Red Wings on Monday and brings renewed fantasy value with a chance to play on a line with elite center Connor McDavid. Athanansiou, who had NHL career highs in goals (30) and points (54) last season with Detroit, is worth adding in most formats, especially with a clean slate after being an NHL-worst minus-45 through 46 games. -- Pete Jensen
Elias Pettersson, VAN:He has four points (two goals, two assists) and 13 shots on goal in his past five games. Pettersson gains value with four games this week against the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets. -- Rob Reese
