WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights each enter the Western Conference Final for the first time when they play Game 1 at Bell MTS Place on Saturday.

The Golden Knights reached the conference final by sweeping the Los Angeles Kings in the first round and defeating the San Jose Sharks in six games in the second round. Vegas is trying to become the first team in NHL history to win three playoff series in its inaugural season. The Golden Knights are the third team in NHL history to win multiple series in their first season; the others are the 1918 Toronto Arenas and the 1968 St. Louis Blues.
The Jets defeated the Nashville Predators 5-1 in Game 7 on Thursday to win that second-round series after defeating the Minnesota Wild in five games in the first round.
Here are 5 keys for Game 1:

1. Fleury dominance

Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is 8-2 with a 1.53 goals-against average, .951 save percentage and four shutouts through the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
"For us, we wouldn't be here if we didn't have him," forward James Neal said. "Every night he's making huge saves for us at the right time. For a guy who's had a great career and won so many Stanley Cups, he still has something to prove and wants to be better each day. Guys see that, especially the younger guys and it builds a lot of character in our room."
Fleury, a three-time Stanley Cup winner with the Pittsburgh Penguins, is one win from tying Jacques Plante (71) for ninth place on NHL all-time playoff list and one shutout from tying Chris Osgood (15) for fourth place all time.

2. Rebounding at home

The Jets won three of four games on the road in the second round but were 1-2 at home. They had won 13 straight games at Bell MTS Place before losing Games 4 and 6 to Nashville.
"We won a lot of hockey games at home (32-7-2 during regular season, 4-2 in playoffs), and we're real comfortable in this building," Jets forward Blake Wheeler said. "We play with confidence in here, and obviously you want to protect your home ice and get off to a good start in the series."

3. Top lines rolling

The Jets top line of Mark Scheifele (11 points), Blake Wheeler (11) and Kyle Connor (six) combined for 28 points in seven games against the Predators. Scheifele leads the NHL with 11 goals in the playoffs.
The Golden Knights top line of Jonathan Marchessault (nine points), William Karlsson (eight points) and Reilly Smith (eight points) combined for 25 points in six games against the Sharks.

4. Hellebuyck steady

Connor Hellebuyck continues to provide the Jets with solid goaltending in his first trip to the playoffs.
Hellebuyck is 8-4 with a 2.25 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage with two shutouts. At home, he's 4-2 with a 2.02 GAA and a .922 save percentage.
"At the end of the day, it's just a hockey game," Hellebuyck said. "I don't think experience changes that. I'm going to go out and play the same way I've been playing all year. I'm going to focus on my game and my details and let the rest fall into place."

5. Score first, hold leads

Scoring first in the playoffs has proven to be vital for the Jets and the Golden Knights. Each has thrived when forcing opponents to chase the game.
Winnipeg is 7-1 when scoring first and 8-0 when leading after the second period.
Vegas is 6-1 when scoring first and 6-0 when leading after the second period.
