On a night of celebrations in the NHL, the Vegas Golden Knights had plenty to be happy about. The first-year franchise reached the 30-win mark
by defeating
the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team with the best record in the NHL, 4-1 at Amalie Arena.
The Golden Knights (30-11-3), who lead the Western Conference with 63 points, became the first team to defeat the Lightning (31-11-3) twice this season. The win moved Vegas within two points of Tampa Bay for the most points in the League.

The Golden Knights became the fifth NHL team to win 30 games in its inaugural season … and they still have 38 games remaining.
Thursday marked the 60th anniversary of Willie O'Ree breaking the NHL's color barrier. Players from all backgrounds spoke to NHL.com about

There was also a celebration in Philadelphia, where Eric Lindros became the sixth player to have his number retired by the Flyers.
Lindros had an emotional evening, speaking of mending his relationship with the Flyers and fans. With his family in tow, the Hockey Hall of Famer saw his
No. 88 raised to the rafters
at Wells Fargo Center.

Just 34 seconds into overtime, Taylor Hall roofed the game-winner in the New Jersey Devils'

Sean Couturier was even faster than Hall. He scored off a perfect feed from Travis Konecny

to give the Flyers a come-from-behind win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
