The San Jose Sharks were on the brink of elimination from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in Game 6 in Las Vegas against the Golden Knights.
After three full periods of play, the teams were tied at one apiece. As if one overtime period wasn't enough stress for the viewers, the game continued to double overtime.
Tomas Hertl scored a shorthanded goal 11:17 into the second overtime and the Sharks came out victorious, forcing a Game 7 back in San Jose on Tuesday, April 23.
