Trevor van Riemsdyk 102216

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk is expected to miss about a month because of an upper-body injury, coach Joel Quenneville said Saturday.
Van Riemsdyk was injured when he crashed into the net in the second period of a 3-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday. He skated off the ice holding his right shoulder/arm and did not return.

He was wearing a sling at United Center on Saturday before the Blackhawks played the Toronto Maple Leafs (7 p.m. ET; CBC, WGN, NHL.TV).
Van Riemsdyk was limited to 18 games in the 2014-15 season; he fractured his patella on Nov. 16, 2014, and injured his wrist in March 2015 playing for Rockford of the American Hockey League. He played all 82 games last season.
