Nylander, Jarnkrok lead Maple Leafs to a 4-3 win

TAMPA -- William Nylander had a goal and two assists for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 4-3 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Tuesday.

Joseph Woll made 45 saves, and Calle Jarnkrok and Ryan O'Reilly each had a goal and an assist for the Maple Leafs (49-21-11), who have won four of their past five games.
Toronto will finish second in the Atlantic Division and has home-ice advantage against third-place Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which begin next week. The Maple Leafs scratched forwards Auston Matthews and Mitchell Marner, defenseman Mark Giordano and goalie Ilya Samsonov on Tuesday.
"Obviously we've got to win, but playoffs is going to be a little different," Nylander said. "It was nice to get a win today, but we've got to be ready for when the first game (of the series) starts."

Mikhail Sergachev had a goal and an assist for the Lightning (45-30-6), who went 0-for-8 on the power play and lost their fourth straight. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 20 saves.
"There was zero intensity in that game; there was none," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "It may have looked like it from the stands, but that was an exhibition game. We'll get something out of it at some point when we go back and look at the tape, but they had players that play lots of minutes for them out of the lineup."
Nylander gave Toronto a 1-0 lead on a power play at 12:48 of the first period with a wrist shot from the bottom of the right face-off circle.
Alex Killorn tied it 1-1 with a redirection from the slot off a shot by Sergachev at 13:59.
Luke Schenn put the Maple Leafs ahead 2-1 at 16:01 with a slap shot from beyond the right circle.
Nick Perbix tied it 2-2 at 5:21 of the second period, scoring on a slap shot from the left circle.
"We know what's going on in the playoffs, there's no secrets," Lightning forward Nicholas Paul said. "We played them last year. We have to find some momentum. I thought we had some good chances, and their goalie made some great saves. But we gave up too many Grade A chances as well."
Jarnkrok gave Toronto a 3-2 lead on a power play at 16:56 when he stuffed in a rebound off a shot from John Tavares.

Woll made 18 saves in the second.
"It's been a little crazy. I found out [I was starting] today around 1 p.m. that I was going to be able to play," Woll said. "It was pretty special to come out here and get the win tonight. It was playoff-style hockey. Our guys were out diving and blocking shots."
O'Reilly extended the Maple Leafs lead to 4-2 at 12:33 of the third period on a rebound after a shot by Matthew Knies.
Knies, who played for the University of Minnesota in the NCAA Frozen Four here last week, had an assist for his first NHL point.
"It's intense out there, it's fun to be a part of," Knies said. "Everyone has been so welcoming the past few days, it was easy to jump in and try to make an impact."
Sergachev scored at 13:49 with a one-timer from the high slot for the 4-3 final.
"It was a weird game with way too many penalties for both teams," Lightning captain Steven Stamkos said. "Probably not how it's going to be during playoff time, but still, I think we have some areas we need to improve."
