ANOTHER 1000th GAME CELEBRATION
For the third consecutive season, the Jets will celebrate one of their players skating in their 1000th NHL contest. In 2020-21, it was Paul Stastny. Last season, Blake Wheeler, and now Sam Gagner will join the exclusive club. He will become the fifth player from the 2007 NHL Draft class to reach 1,000 games, joining Patrick Kane, Jakub Voracek, Wayne Simmonds, and David Perron. He will begin the night with Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kyle Connor, as those three had a fantastic performance against the Canucks the last time the two teams met. Gagner's father, Dave, played 946 games in the NHL recording 719 career points.

MORE JUGGLING
Safe to say that the Jets injuries have finally caught up to them and while the effort is there, the offence is not. Winnipeg has scored four goals during their three-game losing streak. Rick Bowness broke up the top line of Dubois, Connor and Mark Scheifele at practice yesterday and will have Scheifele in between Adam Lowry and Karson Kuhlman. Kevin Stenlund centres the third line with Morgan Barron and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and David Gustafsson will go with Michael Eyssimont and Jansen Harkins.
CANUCKS COMING IN HOT
This is a much different Canuck team than the one the Jets beat 5-1 in Vancouver back on December 17. Vancouver has won three straight overall, scoring 17 goals and allowing nine. The Canucks most impressive stat is the fact they have won seven straight away from home and Bruce Boudreau recently said he had no answer as to why his team has been so much better on the road. Bo Horvat has 15 points (9-6-15) in his last ten games, including two consecutive nights with four points, and is tied for second in the NHL in goals (26) this season.
