TBL@MIN: Hartman nets feed for spinning go-ahead goal

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Ryan Hartman scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period for the Minnesota Wild in a 4-2 win against Tampa Bay Lightning at Xcel Energy Center on Sunday.

Hartman went bar down from in front of the net at 9:15 of the third period to make it 3-2. He has goals in three straight games, five goals in his past six games and 13 points (nine goals, four assists) in his past 14.
"I don't think I've had a goal with time and space, like get a full shot off," Hartman said. "I've had to be quick or something with a rebound. I'm trying to think about some of them, but it's not a bad problem to have, I guess. But, yeah, just trying to play the game the right way and when you get chances, try to be opportunistic with them."

Cam Talbot made 28 saves and had an assist for Minnesota (14-6-1), which has won three straight and four of six.
Andrei Vasilevskiy made 33 saves for the Lightning (12-5-3), who had won three in a row. It was the second regulation loss for Tampa Bay in 14 games.
"We got our looks, and we didn't capitalize," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "… Just made colossal error in the D-zone on that third goal. When you do that against a good team, they make you pay. We had our chance, we didn't make them pay, hence we had nothing on them."
Nick Bjugstad ended Vasilevskiy's shutout streak at 141:29 with a top-shelf goal and a 1-0 lead at 11:03 of the first period.
"We haven't always had the greatest starts so far this season," Bjugstad said. "So it's good to start off like that and kind of battle with one of the better teams in the League."
Corey Perry beat Talbot glove side from the left circle at 11:51 of the first to tie the game 1-1. Perry extended his point streak to four games (two goals, two assists).
"He's getting a ton of chances," Cooper said of Perry.

Victor Rask made it 2-1 Minnesota with a rebound off a loose puck in the slot at 16:28.
Alex Killorn tied the game 2-2 at 9:24 of the second period with a shot to the right corner from the top of the circle.
"I thought it was a pretty good game, two good teams," said Killorn. "They play pretty well at home and just capitalized."
After Hartman gave the Wild the lead, Marcus Foligno scored on the empty net with 16 seconds remaining for the 4-2 final.
"The commitment level was really high tonight and obviously when you're playing against the Stanley Cup champions, our guys are really dialed in," Wild coach Dean Evason said. "We made a couple turnovers but certainly in those last [few minutes with an] empty net, they were real committed. We had great blocks. Good sticks. Yeah, we were really happy."
