TBL@BOS: Bruins score three goals in 1:28

BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins extended their point streak to 15 games and ended the Tampa Bay Lightning's winning streak at 10 with a 4-1 victory at TD Garden on Thursday.

Tampa Bay's point streak ended at 14 in the first game in NHL history between two teams with simultaneous point streaks of at least that many games.
Tuukka Rask made 20 saves and is 13-0-3 in his past 17 games (16 decisions) for the Bruins (38-17-9), who are 11-0-4 in their past 15 and 9-0-1 in their past 10. They lead the Toronto Maple Leafs by three points for second place in the Atlantic Division.

"We were sitting here waiting for them, they played last night, that generally factors into it," Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said of the Lightning, who won 4-3 in overtime at the New York Rangers on Wednesday. "We're playing for a little bit more than they are I think as well in terms of the standings, so some of that factored into our urgency. But I think we did want to put our best foot forward, the team that knocked us out (of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the second round) last year. I wouldn't say a message, but we wanted to let them know that we're a good hockey club as well and we've changed a little since the last time we've seen them (a 3-2 loss Dec. 6)."
Louis Domingue made 37 saves, but his winning streak ended at 11 games for the Lightning (49-12-4), who were 12-0-2 in their past 14. They lead the Atlantic by 17 points.
"Today I felt bad for Louis," Lightning captain Steven Stamkos said. "He played outstanding, gave us a chance going into the third, one goal, and we just didn't have it tonight. It felt like we were in quicksand and they played really well. You've got to give them credit. Maybe this was a little bit of something that was coming for us. We didn't think we were playing well lately and we played a good team like this, and they definitely had more of the energy and played a better game than us."

TBL@BOS: DeBrusk nets PPG off deflection

Jake DeBrusk scored on the power play to give Boston a 1-0 lead at 8:43 of the second period. With Brad Marchand driving to the net, DeBrusk took a wrist shot from just above the left face-off circle that appeared to deflect off Tampa Bay defenseman Anton Stralman's stick.
The Bruins scored three goals in a span of 1:28 in the third period.
Noel Acciari, who had a goal and an assist, made it 2-0 on a rebound at 11:47 after he forced a turnover at the Tampa Bay blue line and set up Chris Wagner for a shot from a tough angle on the left side.
Patrice Bergeron made it 3-0 at 12:32 with a wrist shot from the right circle.
Marchand scored on a breakaway after a long pass through the air by Danton Heinen for a 4-0 lead at 13:15.
Anthony Cirelli cut it to 4-1 at 13:52 by tipping in an Ondrej Palat shot.

Torey Krug and Heinen each had two assists for the Bruins.
"It feels good to win," Boston captain Zdeno Chara said. "It's a big game and obviously a really good team we played tonight. It was a closer game, I would say, than maybe what the score showed. But of course we're going to enjoy this one and get ready for the next one."

They said it

"I think we're confident right now. That goes a long way when everybody's feeling good about themselves. And even if some guys have a bad night, other guys are stepping up and having big games." -- Bruins forward Brad Marchand on Boston going 11-0-2 in February
