The New Jersey Devils showed frontline workers the love Saturday.

The Devils donned jerseys with the names of frontline workers during warmups as part of their healthcare heroes night for their game against the New York Islanders.

New Jersey invited 100 frontline workers to attend the game at Prudential Center then celebrated their sacrifice and efforts fighting the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the night.
Nora Englishman, a member of physician services team at RWJBarnabas Health, sang the national anthem, and the team singled out healthcare workers on social media.

Saturday marked one year and one day from the date the NHL season was paused due to concerns over the pandemic, March 12, 2020.

Devils defenseman P.K. Subban even hopped on a Zoom call after the game and signed T-shirts for the members of the cardiovascular team at a hospital in Livingston, New Jersey to show his support for their work.
