Blues fans gave a standing ovation to Jay Bouwmeester, as well as the Blues and Anaheim Ducks medical staffs and responders who treated the Blues defenseman during a cardiac episode Tuesday in Anaheim before St. Louis' game against the Nashville Predators.
The St. Louis vs. Anaheim game was postponed after Bouwmeester collapsed on the Blues bench during the first period of the game Tuesday. Anaheim team doctors, along with other responders, rushed to action to help Bouwmeester.
St. Louis, who received support
from Vegas Golden Knights fans
during its game against them Thursday, returned home for the first time since the episode. The Blues announced that Bouwmeester was in stable condition and recognized those who treated him.
Blues fans at Enterprise Center also signed a get-well card for Bouwmeester.
