Leevi Selanne apparently can score clutch goals just like his famous father.

Teemu Selanne's son, and forward for the Santa Margarita Catholic High School hockey team, scored the championship-clinching goal in overtime to lift the Eagles 3-2 against Regis Jesuit of Aurora, Colorado for the Division I title at 2018 USA Hockey high school national championships in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Selanne scored a power-play goal at 5:02 of extra time to cap a stunning comeback for the Rancho Santa Margarita, California-based school. The Eagles trailed Regis Jesuit 2-1 in the waning seconds of regulation, but Joey Felicicchia tied the score with only two seconds left to force OT.
The suspenseful finish was almost too much to bear for Leevi's dad, Teemu Selanne. The Hockey Hall of Famer, who scored 684 regular-season goals and 44 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 21 NHL seasons, was watching from the stands and went into proud-dad mode on Twitter after the game.

Santa Margarita Catholic, which lost in the national final in 2017, won the national title for the second time in its history. The Eagles qualified for the tournament by winning the Division I championship in the Anaheim Ducks high school hockey league and the California state championship.
