At 19:21 of the second period in the Sharks/Capitals game, San Jose requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether the Capitals was off-side prior to Brett Connolly's goal.
After NHL Hockey Operations staff reviewed all available replays and consulted with the Linesman, the call on the ice was upheld - good goal Washington Capitals. Since the Coach's Challenge did not result in the original call being overturned, the San Jose Sharks are assessed a minor penalty for delaying the game.
