Buffalo Sabres center Jack Eichel could make his season debut at the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday (7:30 p.m. ET; MSG-B, RDS2, TSN5, NHL.TV).
Eichel, who has been out because of a high ankle sprain sustained during practice Oct. 12, will travel with the Sabres to Ottawa and see how he feels Tuesday. Coach Dan Bylsma said he is considered day to day.

"I feel good," Eichel said Monday, according to the Buffalo News. "I'm moving. There's no real restrictions, so I feel pretty good right now. ...Who knows what will happen tomorrow night? It's more than 24 hours away. All I can say is I felt good."
Eichel centered Evander Kane and Sam Reinhart during practice and also was on the top power-play unit.
If he doesn't play Tuesday, Eichel's next chance to return to the lineup would be at home against the New York Rangers on Thursday.
The second pick of the 2015 NHL Draft, Eichel led the Sabres with 24 goals last season.
