MONTREAL - The Habs will look to sweep their season series against the Seattle Kraken at the Bell Centre on Monday.

TICKETS: Kraken @ Canadiens
Here's what you need to know heading into the game.
1.Martin St-Louis' squad breathed a sigh of relief when they defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-4 at the Bell Centre on Saturday night, putting an end to the team's seven-game winless streak. The Habs overcame a trio of goal deficits at 1-0, 2-1, and 4-3 with tallies from forwards Joel Armia (2), Kirby Dach, Cole Caufield, and Josh Anderson. Armia, who has three goals in his past two games after scoring his first of the season against the New York Rangers last Thursday, was named the first star of the game, while forwards Jake Evans (two assists) and Jonathan Drouin (one assist) earned the second and third stars, respectively. Captain Nick Suzuki (2), forwards Evgenii Dadonov (2), Christian Dvorak, and defenseman Johnathan Kovacevic also collected helpers. Goaltender Jake Allen made 18 saves in the win.

Armia scores two in back and forth Canadiens win, 5-4

It's worth noting that Caufield became the fourth-fastest goal scorer in Canadiens history to reach 50 career goals since 1942-43 after notching his 23rd of the present campaign against the Blues. He surpassed the legendary Guy Lafleur by achieving this milestone in nine fewer games (117 vs. 126). He sits fourth behind Maurice Richard (76 games), Jean Béliveau (105 games), and Bernard Geoffrion (114 games).
2.The Kraken come to town after thumping the Senators 8-4 at the Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday. Eight different players scored for Seattle, including Oliver Bjorkstrand, Jared McCann, Justin Schultz, Daniel Sprong, Matty Beniers, Vince Dunn, Jordan Eberle, and Andre Burakovsky. Dave Hakstol's contingent packs an offensive punch as they've found the back of the net 22 times in their last four outings while only conceding eight goals in that span. Ten players have registered at least 20 points this season so far, with Burakovsky (32), Eberle (31) and Beniers (30) leading the way. Goaltender Martin Jones, who made his 25th start of the campaign against the Sens, made 19 saves to extend his squad's winning streak to four. After starting 2023 on home ice, the Kraken packed their bags for a seven-game road trip with stops in Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo, Boston and Chicago. The visitors will be looking to even their two-game series against the Habs after dropping a 4-2 decision at Climate Pledge Arena on December 6.
