Phaneuf will miss his second game to be with his wife Elisha, who gave birth to daughter Zaphire on Thursday. … Ryan, who missed eight games Oct. 24-Nov. 11 with a broken finger on his right hand, injured a different finger against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday and is day-to-day. … Smith is expected to be out for two weeks… McGinn was scratched after the warmup Friday.
