Oilers feeling comfortable at Rogers Place

There's always an adjustment period when moving to a new location.
With the welcome mat rolled out, the Oilers had nine wins after 19 home games before their January 12 showdown with the New Jersey Devils.

Instead of a 'welcome' mat, the sign should read 'beware' now.
And that's not because of Hunter the Lynx.
It's because the Oilers are beginning to find comfort playing in their new state-of-the-art arena, currently riding a three-game home winning streak.
The Oilers are 12-8-2 on home ice and 12-7-5 on the road.
"I think our record at home hasn't been as good as we wanted it to be," said Leon Draisaitl. "Those three games now, they've been huge for us. I've said it many times before, every point is huge right now."
Getting wins at Rogers Place will be paramount for the club moving forward.
"The standings are so tight that every team is still in the playoff hunt," said Draisaitl.
The comfort of playing at Rogers Place will be pivotal down the stretch in the month of March when the Oilers play 11 of 13 games in Edmonton. February will see the team on the road for nine of 12 tilts.
"We're in a good position right now and we just have to make sure we stay there."
