Lightning add forward Chris Kunitz

Forward Chris Kunitz signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday that his agent said is worth $2 million.
Kunitz, 37, had 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) in 71 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins last season and 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in their run to the Stanley Cup, including the overtime goal in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Ottawa Senators.
Perhaps more important to the Lightning is the fact that Kunitz is the only active player to have won the Stanley Cup four times. He also won with the Penguins in 2009 and 2016, and with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007. He said having the chance to win another championship was a major reason he signed with the Lightning.
"I think [if] you look around the League, you see the teams that have a chance to win, the teams that you kind of pick that you think you'd like to go to that have a great chemistry, a great core group, teams that are close," Kunitz said. "You put those lists together, and some of those teams come calling, you have to make a decision, and for us it was an easy one."

Kings come to terms with goaltender Darcy Kuemper

Goalie Darcy Kuemper agreed to a one-year, $650,000 contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
Kuemper, 27, was 8-5-3 with a 3.13 goals-against average and .902 save percentage in 18 games (17 starts) with the Minnesota Wild last season. He'll likely get the chance at the backup job behind starter Jonathan Quick.
