Schaefer skates with Martin’s kids at UBS Arena

Who better to teach you how to skate than two NHL stars?

Matt Martin’s kids get to learn from not one, but two professional hockey players, and the lessons are starting early.

In a video posted to social media by Sydney Martin – Matt’s wife – on Tuesday, New York Islanders rookie Matthew Schaefer is shown taking a spin on the ice at UBS Arena with Martin and his two daughters, Winnie and Alice.

Admittedly, it looks like the pros did most of the skating while carrying the young kids around.

“Feeling blessed I don’t have to get on the ice now,” Sydney captioned the video.

Schaefer is living with the Martins this season, spending Halloween with the family, and also getting massive support from them all year long.

Matt – the former Islanders forward – is currently serving as the special assistant to the GM for the team.
